US -

I miss you & you!
Can't wait to see you soon! :)
I miss my family. 2 more weeks..yay!
In 1 week and 1 day, I will be free from exams.
If only I can make myself sit down and study without much procrastination.

A moment for Ps 23 -
Tomorrow marks the last day of my 5th year attachment. An exam in the morning, and then that's it; before my dreaded exams a week later. Thinking about it. This time in 2 weeks, my life as a 5th year medical student is over. (Provided I pass my exams and I am having lots of faith that God will help me through this stressful time)
And by this time in a month, I'll be in London. =) As a trainee intern. (
That has a nice ring to it :) )
Lots of prayers appreciated! :) I'm starting to wonder whether I'm in the right profession. Meh. Nothing is too difficult for Him to handle, so I'm leaving it all to Him as I work hard to achieve the best.
Updates after exams.

Beautiful, sunny day -

And that means, sun-basking time!! =) I love the sun, and I love my tan. After study group, I went over to Logan park for a dose of Vitamin D and tried to read my paediatric book at the same time. It all went well, until the strong wind decided to blow, and it was making me cold. So I decided to make my way home. I think I got a bit of a tan, so I'm happy.
I decided to take last night off because I thought I'd rest for a bit after having to stay up late the night before, finishing up my presentation and case write up. I have to learn not to leave things til the last minute - but oh well. Now I just have one more assignment and then it's all about studying for exams from then on. My flatmates and I had a crazy session taking photos last night. Insane. It was Steph's idea to take photos because we were hardly together as a flat during dinner time. Somehow, someone was always missing and we never hung out properly as a flat. Photos later.
Right. Time for study now.

Special day -
Happy 25th anniversary mom and dad!
In all honesty, I forgot it was the 9th today until now. I can't believe it's the end of the week now. Foreseeing now a long night because I have an assignment due tomorrow and also a case presentation to do tomorrow, both of which are not completed yet. Well, at least the assignment is 99% done. Just need to tidy up some things. Now, the presentation...that's another matter altogether.
Anyhoo. It's a special day today for my mommy and daddy. =) I almost,
key word = almost, booked a flight home for it, but I didn't because I don't have a holiday now. But hey, it's the thought that counts =)
I will see you both in just over a month. Can't wait! =)
Love you both lots and lots!
xoxo

something's not quite right -

I had kueh tiaw last night and it would have been perfect Malaysian style if it were not for the presence of a few broccoli and cauliflower stalks in it. =P
It was a great relaxing weekend, catching up with a close friend visiting from Christchurch. Great times. Now I have to push my "resume" button and start studying again.
I thank God for the beautiful sunshine today that I could sit with a friend on a bench in a beautiful garden having lunch, and catching up with her. It is times like these when I just want to have a holiday and not have anything to do with study. Just taking time to enjoy nature and basking in God's creation. Anyhoo, there's a season for everything, and in this season I am meant to focus on my studies and pass my 5th year exams (which is basically the biggest hurdle to go over in my whole medicine course). And then, (OOOOoooooo, I get so excited talking about this) AND THEN, I'll be on my way to enjoy my holidays *cough*, I mean, medical electives in London, Singapore and Brunei!

I can only imagine -

In one and a half months, my feet will be on Brunei-land. =) Happy is I. There is so much to do before I set foot on the plane though - the major one being exams. i-kes,
So far, it's been good. I've done well for two of my presentations so far. I have one more to do next Friday, then all my presentations will be done and then I'll be off to Invers. In a way I'm glad I'm going over in the last batch because that means I'm away from Dunedin for only 1.5 weeks, instead of 2 =) I'm tired of going towards southland, partly because I've been there for a good 5 weeks in winter...but anyway.
In about a months' time, my life as a 5th year med student will come to a close, and it's time to be a pretend doctor, where I am a doctor, but cannot sign anything and don't possess the title of a doctor yet. This is if I pass my exams in November, which I really am aiming to do (because no one likes failing) so that I can be on my way to enjoy my electives. Yay! London, here I come! First stop, Brunei of course =)
Before I get too carried away with day dreaming, I better stop and remind myself that I need to study. Now that I've done my shift in NICU, I can start planning set times for me to sit down and do solid work. I've done so much paeds this week, I've forgotten about O&G. Whoops. The MCQ session just now was a good wake up call for me.
Part of me wishes that I'm still on the team, playing the keys for worship in church. But I know that this is my season where I sit back and focus on my studies, because medicine is why I came to NZ after all. To be able to fulfill my dream of becoming a doctor.
I've got a few items on my dream/wish list, but I will share that another time. =)
