A day with my Maker -

No one was free so I spent today with God. I went to Kensington Temple (aka Elim church) near Notting Hill gate and it was a great service! I enjoyed the whole service - especially the long worship! :) Ps talked about 'spring cleaning' which spoke to me - something that I need to do for a long time now.

Then I walked around to find some spots in London - my big plan for the day. =O) It was actually great - walking with my Maker - going to Kensington Palace, walking through Hyde Park and seeing various monuments in the park, walking through the Christmas market, only to find myself walking towards Buckingham Palace (so I went there :) ) and then saw the London's Eye and Big Ben in the distance and walked towards them and found them! =O) It was wonderful! I took lots of photos before my camera decided to have a flat battery (and I forgot to bring my spare one with me!).

Then I met Sarah at Starbucks to walk home and then head out again to Giraffe for dinner. Wasn't the best meal; but I enjoyed my mash potatoes =O)

It was a great day today. I loved every moment of it. Although I was by myself physically, knowing that God was with me the whole time as I took in His creation - it was amazing. Refreshing.

Today I was reminded how special I was. So special that God gave His one and only Son to die to the cross for me. My life was bought at a price. I do not own it. And so, I live for the One who created me and loves me unconditionally.

Oh..I didn't mention above, but it was 4 degrees today with on and off drizzles - and I still managed to get around alright :) God is good!

Wandering -

I couldn't go to 'work' today because somehow, I don't have a schedule with the hospital yet. So I had a day off. I was only in Whitechapel for under 2 hours. Anyway, because I didn't want to stay at home by myself and do nothing, I thought I'd go out for some shopping/sightseeing - mostly sightseeing I must say.

Sam dropped me off at Covent Garden, where I just had a look around and then I thought I'd walk a bit to find some shopping places. BUT. Every street that I turn into has either a row of cafes and restaurants and every eating place you can imagine, OR a row of business like buildings, or theatres (they have lots of theatres here, I realise). No shops. So I kept walking, hoping I would be in luck. Then I started to notice that the buildings were more or less the same...no shopping places. After about 1 hr of walking, I got a bit tired and decided to find an underground to take the tube home; only to find out the station I was at was only one stop away from St Paul's, where the cathedral was. Thinking to myself, since I'm so close already...might as well go see what it's like. So off I walked..for a long while...and finally found the cathedral.

I'm hoping for a better day tomorrow. Let's hope they can contact that doctor and so I can start working.

Medical elective -

I just landed in London. London is ...different. I didn't have any expectations of what London would be like so I can't comment. I can't believe I'm here that's all :)

God has been amazing in His provisions - helping me pass 5th year: I know I couldn't have done it without His srength in keeping me sane and calm during that stressful period; and also taking care of my medical elective needs. Providing me with a place to stay in London, Singapore and Brunei respectively. Funnily enough just the other day when I was at home in Brunei, I was asking my parents what I should do about my accommodation in Singapore since no one has gotten back to me about it yet - and I was close to writing in an application for the hostel accomodation provided by the hospital which costs quite a bit for each night I will be there. Then I checked my email that night and saw that someone has offered me their place to stay for the month and what more; their place is walking distance to the hospital! Hallelujah! God provides for His children indeed! I was so stoked at His provision, especially since I was just talking about it! The verse about how He takes care of us so much more compared to the birds of the field came to my mind and that is true indeed!

So my medical electives are all taken care of now. I just need to go through each of them. :)

God is amazing!

I PASSED -

The title says it all.

I have passed 5th year medicine! A long and strenuous year; and the work paid off!

I am now a trainee intern (in 2 weeks) =)

Hallelujah -

I am one step closer to becoming a doctor (providing I pass my exams, which I believe God will provide for me! Amen!)

Exams are over! OVER! I actually don't know what to do with my time now that I don't need to study. Haha. This is exciting. So what are my plans? Catching up with a few people before I leave Dunedin on Tuesday. Shopping. Clean my room so that it is live-able when my friend stays over next year.

God is amazing. Without Him, I imagine that I would crack under the pressure. I thank Him for blessing me with 2 awesome study mates, who motivated me to keep up with them (cos they are oh-so-smart!) The study and hard work paid off! It's sad that we won't really be in the same group next year. I will miss Gp A. I reckon it has been the best group of people to work with for the past 2 years.

And now, I'm also getting ready to fly home! Yay! And then off to London (now I can think about it as much as I want, without feeling guilty! =P) and then Singapore and relax in Brunei before I head back here again in March.

The feeling still hasn't sunk in yet. Like, where did 5th year go?
